I was surprised by Schwab’s debut The Near Witch because I knew I’d like it, but I had no idea it would be such a fast-paced read. Even though The Archived’s premise really intrigued me and I snagged a copy in June at ALA, I’d heard it would make a better winter read, so I held onto it until then.
